Practice - Vertical design

Theory - Principles of design, Geometric Designs, vertical/horizontal.

Practice - New convention design
Demonstration - Landscape design (vegetative)
Theory - Various basing techniques, scale and proportion.
Lesson 4:
Practice - Asymmetrical triangle design
Demonstration - Isosceles triangle design
Theory - Triangle designs. Physical and visual balance.
Lesson 5:
Practice - Line-mass design
Demonstration - Enclosure design
Theory - Round geometric designs. Enclosure design, sheltering
techniques.
Lesson 6:
Practice - Framing design
Demonstration - Focal emphasis
Theory - Focal emphasis and negative space
Lesson 7:
Practice - Hogarth curve design
Demonstration - Crescent design
Theory - Shadowing techniques and transition
Lesson 8:
Practice - Cascading design
Demonstration - Waterfall design, veiling

Theory - Various ways of making a structure bouquet.
Lesson 12: Test
Revision on various topics, mock test.
Pathway to Becoming an AIFD® Certified Floral Designer (CFD®)
Step 1 → Complete the CFD® Course at A&F Floral Art & Design (an AIFD® Education Partner).
Step 2 → Your instructor submits your contact details to AIFD®.
Step 3 → Complete the CFD® Application and pay the US$174 certification fee (includes re-certification fees through June 30).
Step 4 → Take the AIFD® online test (based on The AIFD® Guide to Floral Design) within 2 weeks of access.
Step 5 → Achieve a score of 80% or higher and become an AIFD® Certified Floral Designer (CFD®)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Arrival Time
Please arrive 10 minutes before class so we can start and finish on time. Full-day workshops include a 30-minute lunch break.
What to Bring
All flowers, materials, and tools will be provided. You may bring a notepad and pen if you’d like to take notes.
Lunch & Refreshments
Light refreshments (tea, coffee, and snacks) will be provided. Please bring your own lunch for full-day workshops.
Certificates
Students of our Beginner and Intermediate courses will receive a certificate upon completion. For CFD® course students, if your work is deemed to meet the required level, you will be invited to apply for the AIFD® Certified Floral Designer (CFD®) credential. Cancellations
For Beginner, Intermediate, and CFD® courses, we offer a full refund for cancellations made at least 14 days before the course start date. In the event of low enrollment, we may need to cancel a course, in which case we will provide at least one week’s notice. You will then have the option to transfer your booking to another course or receive a full refund.
Language
Classes are delivered in English unless otherwise specified. Private group bookings can also be arranged in English, Mandarin, or Cantonese.
Photography
You are welcome to take your own photos. Our instructor, and occasionally our photographer, may also take photos for marketing or social media purposes. If you prefer not to appear in any photos, please let us know.
